About Us

Our Company

We began in 1997 with the aim to make beautiful cards in a responsible way. We only work for charities and have grown to represent many of the largest charity organisations in Europe. The 'Dove' bit is about doing some good, which means we aim to make our products well, in an environmentally and ethically responsible way. Our cards are designed in Northumberland, printed in the UK on FSC paper (SA-COC-001654X) from Cumbria, and are produced in a way we and our customers can be proud of. Our business also supports fair trade by working with groups in Bangladesh, Mauritius and Nepal to design and market beautiful handmade cards. You can find out more about us throughout the website, or simply enjoy the look, feel and images you can find here.

The Plan

This is simple, and been the same from the start. To make beautiful cards, responsibly, for charity organisations in the UK and Europe. Design is everything for us, so we have a large in-house design team, well resourced with the best designers around.

What's Important

Being a good supplier, caring about our customers. You have to really care, and not just say it.

Creativity. It's the 2 or 3 great ideas that come out in conversation that count, not the cheapest price!

Opening your eyes. There is inspiration all around.

Doing things in a respectful and responsible way. We still don't understand why you would do anything else. Business is an art - do it beautifully.

We make our stuff in the UK and always have. We have really good companies here full of people who are good at what they do. You just need imagination.

Let's be open. It's a hard, competitive world. If we're on the same side we can do so much more.

Financial Information

We've been trading since 1997 with turnover in 2008 of over £3m. We manage a number of large promotions for our clients, with the largest incoming over £5m at retail sales value. The company balance sheet is strong and we are self funding, with no bank borrowing required through the year. We are an open company and are externally audited each year. All in all we're well run, our staff are well paid and we're happy to share our accounts. Just ask Tim.
